A practical interface to public food-storage guidance

ShelfDate helps people answer a narrow question: how should this food be stored, and what time window applies to its current condition?

The project began as an expiry-tracking app. The website is now the primary product: a searchable reference and calculator built around USDA FoodKeeper data and supporting federal food-safety guidance.

We do not sell shelf-life estimates or hide sources. Each result shows the FoodKeeper condition and original time unit, and the methodology explains every conversion.
